Solar Eclipse....6 minutes long...longest time in 500 years.

The moon will cover the sun for 6 whole minutes...total time the moon passes in front of the sun is about 40 minutes long...The longest amount of time an eclipse has taken since the year 1509.

Taiwan will see the longest total solar eclipse in 500 years on July 22, a scientist said Saturday.The total eclipse will last up to six minutes, or the longest one that can be seen in Taiwan in almost 500 years from 1814 to 2309.

The next total solar eclipse that can be seen in Taiwan will come in March 20, 2034.
